Where it stops
The hosted builder is not the system of record you want long term. In July 2025 Wiz reported an auth bypass; Wix fixed it within 24 hours. Exporting the code is how you review what you are actually running.
How we take it to production
- Move the code into a GitHub account your company owns.
- Separate dev, staging and production, including the database.
- Put hosting, DNS and billing in accounts you control.
- Fix access rules, secrets and backups before new features.
- Hand over a runbook. Care is optional after that.

Questions worth answering first
Can I export my Base44 code?
When the plan allows an export, we take that code into your GitHub and review it. If export is blocked, the assessment says so and we talk about a rebuild of the core.
Is the July 2025 issue still open?
Wiz reported an auth bypass and wrote that Wix fixed it within 24 hours. We still review auth on your app, because a vendor fix does not review your roles.
Should we rebuild instead?
If the workflow is real and the export is usable, we harden it. If the data model cannot support your roles, we say a rebuild is the smaller path.
Can this become our CRM?
