Where it stops
Dev and production need to be separate. After an agent deleted a production database in July 2025, Replit wrote about that separation. We still check that your app has it.
How we take it to production
- Move the code into a GitHub account your company owns.
- Separate dev, staging and production, including the database.
- Put hosting, DNS and billing in accounts you control.
- Fix access rules, secrets and backups before new features.
- Hand over a runbook. Care is optional after that.

Can you deploy a Replit app to our own host?
Yes. We move the repo to GitHub and run production on a host you own, with a separate database.
Do you ban the agent?
No. We put it on a branch and a dev database, with a human review before production.
What did the July 2025 incident change?
Replit wrote about separating development and production databases. Your app still needs that separation checked.
Is Replit Deployments enough?
It can be, if the database, secrets and backups are set up for production. The assessment says which.
How is it priced?
